When you think about the great stars of film, certain names will appear depending what your ‘era’ is.

For those who love big action, big country, big ramblin’ adventures through the raucous movies of the 70’s and 80’s, the name Burt Reynolds is sure to be one of the names that pops up.  Whether he was driving a truck on a route that they say can’t be done or making a long bomb down the field, Reynolds was a cinema great in an era when action movies were just finding their footing.

As we’re sure you are aware, last month the world lost Burt Reynolds, and there is a Bandit sized hole left by the former mayor of Steelport.

So hang out with us while we talk about some of our favorite memories of Burt.

WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER!

We have a few things to talk about, and we get into it in the first ten of the episode, but maybe you read these things… do you? I never know.

Anyway, September is an important month for the Somethings.. we are now EVERY GAW’DARN WEEK! ..sort of.

Every week on your RSS Feed (or however you get your Something) you are going to get 4 “shows”
SomethingCast – Our bread and butter format of babbling incoherently about weird things we like.
Dramatic-ish Readings – A unique monologue featuring characters that weren’t in the movie you’re listening to.
Something In Review – A new review of a new or old film, revisited or discussed for the first time!
The End – Where we watch the last episode of a show.. again, sometimes without having seen anything else.

But today, you get SUPERHEROES!  More specifically, Superhero Teams. There have been hundreds of teams and line-ups of teams, and we settle in and discuss some of our favorites.  Whether you dig on Byrne’s X-Men or Giffen’s Justice League, there is likely some detail we have screwed up.

So put on your cape, because it’s time to fly…

You enjoy a thing.. perhaps a podcast where two schmucks from NJ babble incoherently twice a month (with more on the way).  You go to the comment section and realize that the uber-fans are gatekeeping your ability to comment about what your favorite episode is. They’ve already made the decision that it’s ‘One Hit Wonders‘ and any attempt to argue that is brought about with name calling and assumptions about not only your taste, but your class as a human.

That’s toxic fandom, and maybe… if perhaps you’ve been on the internet and enjoyed anything ever… you’ve probably bumped into it.

So join the boys as we settle in with some of our favorite people, from Afterbuzz.Tv, Megan Salinas (@TheMenguin) and Katie Cullen (@Kiaxet)! From some of the blowback on Voltron Season 7, to being female nerds on the internet, they have seen their fair share of toxicity

The boys are back with another journey into their not-guilty-at-all favorites.

Time and time again they have mentioned that on their off hours, when not slaving away over a hot podcast, they can be found slaving away over a hot television, watching amazing chefs (and not so amazing chefs) make amazing concoctions.

Rob knows his way around a kitchen… Hatton knows his way around the kitchen to go sit in the living room, but they do both have a love of reality cooking shows.  So bring your appetite, because the boys are going down the line of the reality cooking shows that they will watch when nothing else is on, or when a bunch of things are on… if you don’t know how to make a crepe suzette by the end of this episode, that’s probably for the best, because at no point in time during the show do we mention crepe suzette.
