Something in Review: SOLO REDUX (w/ Big Kev & Erik)
Tagged 2020, guests, Movies, SciFi, Something In Review, star warsWe got a message not so long ago from our good friend Big Kev, of a show you might remember, Big Kev’s Geek Stuff, now far flung years into the future with Geek Stuff: TNG (@GeekStuffTNG) – and a conversation about Solo broke out.
You see, Rob and I have mixed opinions on Solo… was it good? Was it good enough? Was it just nostalgic pablum?
The battle lines have been drawn… on the Somethingside, myself and Rob. On the side of the defense, we have not only Big Kev, but actor and long time friend of the Somethings and New Jersey actor Erik A.
So settle in and make your opinions known – it’s time for a

Hot Takes w/ Gutting the Sacred Cow
Tagged 2020, guests, MoviesNot everybody likes everything.. I mean, Hatton goes out of his way to watch Asylum Films, and Podcast Rob enjoys Kiss. Sometimes, people can’t help it.
Well, if we’re going to be talking about Hot Takes on things, we needed two friends to come join in the party – so we got fellow ACPN.NET posse, Kevin Gootee and Kevin Israel, the hosts of Gutting The Sacred Cow to hang out and take down some big opinions.
Take a listen – agree – disagree – and then head over to their show and tell them we sent you.
We talk Star Wars, DC, Die Hard, and a whole lot more… Ready to fight?

Was it a military experiment? Was it shamanistic tribes? Was it outright murder?

Something In Review: Suckerpunch!
Tagged 2020, Movies, Something In ReviewIt was inevitable, wasn’t it?
Long ago when we started doing this show, we had this little running gag about attractive people being in the movie Suckerpunch – so now that we have been doing our movie parties on Discord, the time was right for us to find out what all these attractive people actually do!
So join us as we head into our dream within a dream (within a dance within a dream within a bus within a melodrama) and discuss the gun-firing, zombie-killing, samurai-slashing, scantily-clad, outlandishly over-hyphenated movie: Suckerpunch!
Is it good? Is it bad? Is it misunderstood? Well, it’s at least one of those things, and you can find out which right now!

Famous Movie Cars
Tagged 2020, Movies, retroWhat’s going on all – the Somethings are on vacation, but that doesn’t mean you get to be…
What it does mean is that we are diving into the bin of episodes you’ve never heard and popping out with something cool. The only reason I’m mentioning it is that this episode was recorded quite a bit ago. If you are wondering why we’re not social distancing – there’s your reason.
That said – it is going to drive by you at 1.21ghz – we are talking about the things in movies that are the unsung heroes.. the vehicles the heroes drive. From big muscle cars to tricked out sci-fi contraptions, we are about to talk about cars that get you from place A to place B in style or are so cool the whole movie is about them.
Get in, because we got smokeys on our tail!

It’s time again for the Somethings to journey into the last of a series and see whether or not it holds up. This time, the boys have headed to the Grove – a place where foreigners show up to a small town and all sorts of strangeness goes on.
When the show ends, there are relationships asunder, big fights between monsters, and – well – really a lot of things one of the Somethings wasn’t too sure about.
So settle in – we hope you lychan this episode…
Also! Don’t go away, as the last episode of Stories To Amaze: D E M starts right after the episode ends!
So let’s get to … THE END: HEMLOCK GROVE

Mysteries of the Somethingverse : Bigfoot
Tagged 2020, Creature Feature, Mysteries of the SomethingverseIt’s time to head back into the Somethingverse – the place where the mystical, the magical, the unbelievable, the quasi-believable, and the weird all converge on two know-it-all jackasses in New Jersey.
What is the topic this week? Why, none other than the biggest cryptid in America – the one that is so big he has an agent… how has the legacy of Bigfoot held the test of time on the internet? Is Sasquatchamania still running wild?
The only way to find out is to head out into the woods… put on your headphones, and dip your toe into the Somethingverse.

Something In Review: The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T
Tagged 2020, Movies, Something In ReviewWell – we now have a record for ‘The Oldest Movie’ that we have ever reviewed in The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T – which is a movie that was put together by noneother than Dr. Seuss… and it shows a couple of things:
- With a good name behind it, you can make anything!
- There’s a reason Seuss only did cartoon movies in his later years
A weird collection of acid trip fever dreams, pulls from other more famous movies, but a LOT of interesting stage and set design and one amazing song… Dr T is a thing we saw, and you should too.. just to say you did.
So join us and the Aquabats (No, they’re not on the show) as we talk Dr. T and what it all really means.
Ok, here we go!
