Tagged 2016, Comic Book, guests, MCU, netflix, TVThe Somethings have found their way back in the alleys of Hells Kitchen, and who did we find there?
Of course, we found our favorite comic genius, none other than the arid-witted Tim Stevens!
So now that the dust has settled, the guns have been stashed, and the sais are buried – we are taking on Daredevil Season 2 and a whole shitton of ninjas. So walk with us Hand in Hand in this Foggy weather to our Castle, and be prepared to be Elektrafied by this Frank discussion! (…ok, i’ll stop… …karen page…)
Ok, here we go!
Episode 65 – The Quest Reunion
Tagged 2016, guests, The Quest, TVThe day has arrived.
The Somethings have arrived on the last Turnpike Exit before Everrealm!
Join a whole slew of The Quest Paladins, Performers, and Creative all thrilled to hear each other’s voice again – and let us eavesdrop and get in a few words along the way.
We want to once again thank everyone who helped make this episode happen, and as you will hear from the beginning of the episode, we did have some technical difficulties that we assume has a lot to do with the strain on Skype and a transcontinental internet connection.
Thanks everyone – Okay, here we go!

Episode 64 – House of Cards
Tagged 2016, netflix, TVOn this episode – The Somethings Go To Washington
We’ve been pretty big on House of Cards since Season 1, and now as the show ends its 4th Season we decided to discuss where and what has gone on, what we love, and what we hate… the fact is we don’t hate that much.
Frank Underwood – the government official we love to hate and love to see how he schemes through another moment is the central focus of this episode.
He may have his finger on the big red button – but does he hijack your brain?
I don’t think so.
(Note: This episode is SPOILERRIFIC)
Episode #63 – Tim Burton
Tagged 2016, Movies
It’s time for the Somethings to get a little darker.. a little paler in pallette. The boys are going semi-monochromatic and discussing everyone’s favorite Hot Topic Discount Rack Star: Tim Burton.
Whether you are a ghost with the worst pain or a childhood favorite given a facelift and creepy reimagining via Johnny Depp – we probably hit on it.
Slap on some stripes and grab your Handbook of the Recently Deceased..
♫ What’s This! What’s This!
There’s babbling everywhere!
What’s this!
The Something’s just don’t care… ♫
Episode 62 – Deadpool
Tagged 2016, Comic Book, Movies, Review
It is no surprise to anyone that the Somethings like comic things. Hell, they’ve done like 5 episodes about them already… so when the big mill started about Deadpool, it was a foregone conclusion that they were going to see it. So what did they think of the Merc With A Mouth?
..they obviously left nerd stains all over the seat in front of them..
Who said that? Anyway, breaking box office records and proving we DO need another hero.
..two podcasters enter, one podcaster leave..
No, seriously who keeps doing that!? Well, anyway, take a listen and find out what the boys think!
..ok, here we go!
THAT’S MY LINE!

Episode 61 – The 2015 Snopes List
Tagged 2016, snopes
Note: If you share this post, Mark Zuckerberg will bake you a turkey dinner.
Every day of every social media person’s life, you are hit with a thousand different pictures, memes, captions, and at least half of them are filled with bad information. Well, the Somethings are going to inform you of a little website called Snopes. Now, what this site does is… I know.. it’s crazy.. it debunks internet urban legends.
Every year they also do their best to tell you what the most popular b.s. was from the prior year. So we’re going down the list and talking a little bit of the internet urban legends of 2015. We go from Something to Serious to Seriously Creepy and back to Something.. this is a long strange journey. Buckle up.
Episode 60 – The Force Awakens
Tagged 2016, Movies, Review, SciFi, star wars
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… two guys were the last ones to get on a certain train. A train featuring a giant star killing planet and a dude who sky walks and a couple of kids with a bunch of superpowers… yes, that’s right… the Somethings are going to face off against Xur and the Koda– no? Oh. Star Wars.. right.. nevermind.
After the much to do about the Disney Abrams Lucas Monster has come to life, join the Somethings as we discuss those pesky mitochlorians (I’ve just been informed by Podcast Rob that it is spelled midi-chlorians. I don’t feel bad not knowing that.)
Ok, here we go!
Episode 59 – Doctor Who / Sherlock Christmas Specials
Tagged 2016, guests, Holidays, TV
Happy Something Year!
We’re back with our first show of 2016, and the boys are bringing a couple fantastic guests to sit and talk about the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey holiday spirit on Baker Street… that’s right, we’re talking some BBC’ness big numbers shows of Doctor Who and Sherlock – but specifically this year’s big Christmas / New Years episodes.
Along the way we found two wonderful women floating about in the aether of the internet who know a thing or two about a thing or two. Meredith Placko (@mplacko), writer at GEEK.COM, and PopCornTalk’s Marvel Movie News. And sitting in studio (Not our studio.. but *A* studio) with Meredith is Emma Fyffe (@emmafyffe). You might know Emma from PopcornTalk, AfterBuzzTV, and her Sailor Moon Podcast, Love & Justice. Find all her goings on at her Tumblr.
Ok – see, and this is why we don’t have guests with pedigrees.. do you know how long it took me to get all that linkage in. That’s it. No more really awesome guests. It’s like this is becoming work….
But back to the episode – WHAT DID THE BOYS THINK? WHAT DID THE GIRLS THINK? WHAT DID YOU THINK?
Episode 58 – Jessica Jones
Tagged 2015, Comic Book, guests, MCU, netflix, TVPut on your biggest smile, and join us once again as the Somethings delve into binge watching Netflix’s newest Marvel: Jessica Jones. What started as a noir take on the superhero world has taken television by storm as a story of the seedier, darker, and downright creepier parts of what great power means when you have little responsibility.
Joining us is honorary Something, friend, and comic book genius – @Ungajje himself: Tim Stevens.
Couple things to note – this show is long. We love talking with Tim, so even when we say ‘lets wrap it up.. there’s another 2 hours.’ Also, this show is SPOILERIFFIC. If you are 3 episodes in.. don’t listen. Go watch them. Then listen.
SWEET CHRISTMAS, Here we go!
Episode 57 – Found Footage Films
Tagged 2015, Horror, MoviesStep one – take a camera
Step two – strange and horrible things happen to you
Step three – PROFIT!
The Something’s heading off with nothing but their wits and a camera, with an episode all about Found Footage/Shaky Cam movies. Whether it is a horrible creature tromping through the woods, or an urban legend coming to life in the woods, or a … why are all of these things in the woods?
Anyway – monsters, powers, mayhem galore on the just after Thanksgiving edition of the SomethingSomethingCast.
Note – We would like to thank Olivia Hennis of The Papercuts Podcast for her help with this episode. (And her show’s pretty rockin if you love young adult novels & films)
